Château Sainte Gemme Haut-Médoc 2000
(over 2 years ago)This producer managed to take some grapes all with distinguished potential, and blend it into boredom. Dry style, minimal fruit, and to nuanced for any real enjoyment. (I drank this without the influence from any food.. so someone tell me if I am missing something). Some berry flavors are on the palate but I am left with a bitter taste on the finish. Too much acidity than I would care for in any red. Is my American pallate showing yet.. Buy this one only if you prefer this style.

(about 1 year ago)90 goddamned points from WS? James Suckling waseither out of his mind or paid handsomely by the Chateau owner. Boring, boring, boring! Virtually noting going on. Short, but clean finish. Not worth 16 bucks.
