The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(over 2 years ago)I'm not usually a fan of Merlot, preferring Shiraz or Syrah, but I found this to be a very tasty wine, easy to drink with a nice hearty dinner, or on its own.

(about 1 year ago)Not the best wine ever, but nowhere near as far from it as I'd thought. Probably the best bang for the buck I've found yet! Nice tannins, beautiful fruit notes. I'm not a Merlot fan, but I liked this one.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)Very good table wine for the price.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)I like this wine. I like it a lot more after its been open for a couple hours. For me, its a little hot right when you pop the cork, but after 5 hours or so (for me) loses some heat, and tastes a lot better.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)Tasty but sweet. More of a wine cocktail. A fun beverage, but not a very serious Merlot.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)A very light bodied merlot that was much sweeter than I usually enjoy. It is very easy to drink but not a whole more to it than that.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)Nice smooth flavor. Goes down very easily. Leaves a nice after taste.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(about 1 year ago)Not bad, but nothing that really blew me away. It was a very simple merlot. The second and third day with the wine proved it to have very little flavor.
The Little Penguin 2005 Merlot
(10 months ago)Strong cherry and a hint of rubbing alcohol on the nose. Sweet berry and dark chocolate flavors that come across a little strong. Very good when paired with a good creamy cheese.
