Deep purple hue. Nose of raspberries, tea, dried fruit and vanilla oak. Palate is dry with low acidity, moderate tannins and high alcohol. Considerable alcoholic heat throws the balance off a bit leaving the wine flabby and soft. Pretty typical of California Zinfandel but not the best example and not very good value for money.
