Sori' Paitin Dolcetto D'Alba 2006
(5 months ago)Beautiful deep red color. The smell is very interesting. It brings a burnt sensation on the nose, almost like the smell of the candy "Boston Baked Beans". In beautiful connection with that, there are hints of oak, leather, plum, blackberries, and tobacco. The taste is fine, although it is a bit weak in the mid-pallet. There are flavors of heavy fruit with very little sweetness. Additionally, there is an earthy sensation and a nice mouth feel although a bit of age may smooth out the tannins. There is an OK linger, but it's not overly exciting to the pallet. Overall, an extremely interesting and complex wine.
