Chateau St. Jean 2006 Fume Blanc
(9 months ago)A light, spritzy white wine that had a hint of creaminess to it. On the nose there was some citrus and it almost smelled a bit like soap, which was pretty pleasant. Some melon as well. On the mid-palate there was an awesome strong, fresh grapefruit flavor, which was really nice. The acidity was good and overall I was really impressed by this. I had it with Thai food - it'd probably be better with something a bit on the less powerful side, but overall it was great.
