Deep cherry kool-aid color. Nose a little tight but a lot of fruit: bing cherry, some vanilla or clove, red licorice! Briar spice and some heat too. Taste of fruit, slight tartness, tannins slightly bitter, bigger bodied and flavored than nose. Good acid, some heat in throat/belly.
