(Aeration was not possible in the restaurant setting). Deep, rich nose. I got some black rubber smudges and strawberry puree. Next to the other reds at the table (2 merlots, one from WA, one from CA) the aromas of the Boudreaux were much denser and darker and much more serious. The palate was silky smooth, and truly exceptional. My only complaint was the finish, which did not linger as much as I think a truly great wine should. But other than that, this bottle is a home run. Went perfectly with meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
