Medium garnet color with orange-brown at the rim. Complex aromas of tar, cloves, wild game, leather, with some floral notes. Surprisingly round and fruit-forward on the palate -- stewed cherries come to mind. Strong tannins softened with some time in the glass, with a long, fruity and gamey finish.
