Pretty much uneventful. I got a faint creame cheese covered strawberry impression on the nose but that was it. It was very smooth but there was little action. I got no impression at all other than fruit, fruit, and more fruit. For the price, this is a pretty decent wine to have around the house.

This is a lovely, yet affordable wine that is great for a casual meal where the wine is not expected to take center stage. New wine drinkers will appreciate the simplicity and subtleness of this agreeable wine. The bouquet played the part of a coy mistress. I had to sniff twice to make sure I wasn't holding mineral water. But after letting it sit for a few minutes more, I eventually picked up on the fruitiness... cherry, and then a very light spice. This wine is not as bold as other Shiraz wines, but it holds its own with a pleasant, yet singular palette. At first taste, the cherry comes out boldly with the spicy tones lightly hinting that you're still drinking a Shiraz. It's a very smooth wine. Unfortunately, that's where the adventure ends. No story unfolds, no surprise turn in the plot. But a congenial distraction just the same.
