For the price, this is an outstanding value. Thoroughly enjoyable. Not overly complex, but a very nice, accessible wine with no major flaws. I got very silly on a bottle of this last fall.

Not great, but not terrible either. Has a bit of an earthy taste about it, goes down smooth. On the whole: pretty dull.

Dark fruit nose, black raspberries or maybe currants. Faint black pepper. Dry on the palate but lots of ripe fruit, some vanilla, a touch of oak. Certainly drinkable now, but I would think in a couple of years this will be really, really good. And for the price (I paid $12), I'm going back tomorrow and get a half-case for a 10% discount. I had no expectations but was very pleasantly surprised.
