This wine was surprisingly good especially given its extremely economical price. Appearance: Decent color, not outstanding clarity but adequate. Bouquet: Strong fruit with floral undertones. Taste: This is a very jammy wine (sour cherries, raspberries) yet dry. It also has an interesting mineral note, which I find unusual in red wines. I really enjoyed this and it was excellent with food (eggplant country lasagna with roasted garlic marinara). I imagine it would go very well with most pastas/italian dishes with red sauces and spicier dishes. Very much a food wine.
