Pra di Po
(over 2 years ago)Hi hayduke! I can only agree with your "long-finish" :) but i am glad to be here in trying to "explore" wines from different tasting-perspectives! I bought Pra Di Po in 2005 directly from the wine-cellar at Sergio Germano's Place in Serralunga D'Alba (his father Ettore died a few years ago). I bought some 6 bottles of it cause as an originally ordinary "workers class"-grape (in historical italian context) this dolecetto is by far anything than smooth. It is a really strong and full-bodied one with some more potential! I guess drinking it around 2008 would be best. Right now its real advantages are surrounded by too much alcohol and power. (At its original place i paid around 10 Dollars.)
