Had a kind of soapy smell to it and had moments of cherry (maybe cherry vanilla?), but all in all it was just a little to harsh (alcoholoci?) for my tastes.

I thought there was something SERIOUSLY wrong with this wine. The smell was just bad. But the flavor was even worse! My husband and I couldn't even finish the bottle, which is rare for us; we usually try to stick it out when we don't like something. I have heard that there is a pollution problem around Frei Brothers, and maybe it's possible that it's really affected the quality in 2005.
