Corte Lenguin Amarone La Coeta 2003
(about 1 year ago)This is a glorious expression of Amarone. Milk chocolate, red fruit, and Raisinets (though it's not "raisiny") all manifest on the palate. The oak is used subtly, adding graceful notes of toast and spice. This probably won't show its full power for another 5 years or more, though based on what it's giving now, this is Amarone at its finest.
