(about 1 year ago)funny i see alot of low reviews of this wine and this suprises me. the 2003 vintage is delicious and about as drinkable as it gets. Le Vieille Ferme is delightful with almost every imagineable food and wonderful on its own. This wine does everything you might expect of french wine regardless of price: good balance, structure, nice body and complexity while being a joy to drink. Tasting reveals a solid earthy flavor with soft tannins. It is not too fruity, but not dry. A bit of blackberry with a smooth, quick almost eucalyptus and grass finish. Sure you can buy better wine and write lengthy reviews, but Le Vieille Ferme is a wine for drinking -- and at this price, for sharing.
