2001 Corte alla Flora Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
(about 1 year ago)Great example of Tuscan high quality value! The color actually seemed somewhat translucent with brownish hues along the edges. On the nose, immediate sweet strawberries (and other red berries) as well as pepper, some sort of creme, and the image of a small tiny hole made in a garden with tomato sauce poured inside of it! Spectacular balance of flavor with acidity and tannins. ...+ or - evals... Distinct varietal character: +, Integration: +, Expressiveness: +, Complexity: +, Connectedness: +

2001 Corte alla Flora Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
(about 1 year ago)This wine had such a unique color, with a brownish/yellow hue on the edges, and overall burgundy hints. On the nose I detected dark fruits and red cherry, with an underlying earthy tone. Taste was subtly fruity with finish laced with black pepper and some creme/milk. Excellent intro to Tuscan wines; not over the top acidic. Great wine!

(about 1 year ago)The nose had raspberry and cherry aromas, plus a little leather and vanilla. The palate was full of raspberry and plum, mixed with a touch of oak and spice. The tannins were solid and it had a nice truffle finish that went on a long time
