The nose comes off as a smoky, dusty cherry and plum. Not much acidity or bite on the palate, a hint of cinnamon but is powered by a dark cherry taste around the edges that sustains to the finish. Not as bold as it could have been. Overall, not a bad wine for the price.

The Feltzer 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon introduced itself with a very prominent red cherry and vanilla scent. The first taste didn't change that introduction one bit. The first flavor that came through were the strong red cherries followed by the vanilla flavor that hung on the palate for several minutes. My mind immediately associated the taste to cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. Or possibly even a fountain-made cherry Coke without being overly sweet and candy like. The flavor was consistent through several glasses which even more surprising. I loved this bottle and can't wait to try a second.

At first, buttery and kind of sweet. After airing it out, strong and spicy. Not a wine to have with steak; better to drink while hanging out.
