Suave red, with concentrated dark plum, blackberry and dark cherry flavors. Refined, with mouthfilling notes of French roast and dark chocolate, which linger on the finish. Delicious out the gate. Syrah, Grenache and Carignane. Drink now through 2010. 1,000 cases made. -Wine Spectator 91pts

(about 1 year ago)Reminds me of when I was a kid walking down to the lake for a swim all the while eating blackberries from the bushes that lined the path. Definite fruit that's perfectly balanced with the flavors from the soil. An outstanding wine and a huge QPR.

(about 1 year ago)Nice nose of Cranberries and pepper. Very nice flavor on the palate of black pepper covered sour cherries. Finish is long and dry. Excellent QPR. 2nd day much smoother and balanced less sour cherries and more dark berries. It is even drinking better than last night. This should age very well.

(about 1 year ago)NICE NICE WINE! Decanted for about 1.5 hrs and strong black and red berries on the nose! Total french bread and olive oil on the nose as well as dark chocolate candy bar. Smooth on the palate, a little rough and hot on the finish though I think this could fade. Very flavorful and fruit forward though loyal to the Languedoc! I think this is a great value! ...+ or - evals... Distinct varietal character: +, Integration: -, Expressiveness: +, Complexity: +, Connectedness: +

(about 1 year ago)04.20.07 - got 4 of these from WL. 70% Syrah, 20% Granche, 10% Carignan. Dark purple color with an old world nose of damp earth, some menthol or mint and seawater. This may need to open a while all I get right now is some earthy jamminess, oak and a hollow center. hope this improves. After a couple of hours it settled a little but still tight, showing blackberry, jam, tons of black pepper and oak. Tannins that could strip crome of a buick. I will need to try again in 6 months but this does show promise
