am new to wine tasting, still developing my palette; beautiful, jewel-toned red color light tasting, smooth, fruity sweet, but a smidge dry, which makes it more enjoyable by itself; was recommended by local wine owner to try this w/ pork; GREAT w/ Scharfenberger dark chocolate, 70% cacao
