7 Deadly Zins 2004 Old Vine Zinfandel
(over 2 years ago)Great Zin for the price - it represents the Lodi region's emergence as a producer of good quality Zins. Made from grapes from 7 different growers, this wine has cedar and smokey flavors on the palette - making it a great BBQ wine! For a smoother, fuller Zin from the area, try this winery's "Earthquake Zin"!

(over 2 years ago)Surprizingly good and complex for the cost. I serve this frequently and always get compliments for it.

(over 2 years ago)It is hard to admit that we like trashy things. Whether it is People magazine, Daniel Steele novels or the O.C. TV show, we secretly enjoy these things but rarely admit it. So we are bravely standing up and proclaiming that we like 7 Deadly Zins. This is not the most sophisticated wine, there is not much oak or complex flavors. But it is jammy and friendly and that is why we like it.

(over 2 years ago)A fun wine; trick we found to curb its "HEY I'M AN AGGRESSIVE ZIN" is to decant it...or at least leave uncorked for a half hour or so before drinking.

(over 2 years ago)I was out looking for a particular zin and the wine shop I always visit recommended this one. Its a great fill in. Nice and smooth...velvety even.

(over 2 years ago)Good wine for the price. Good to have available for guests. One of those wines that seems to make everybody happy.

(over 2 years ago)This was a very pleasant wine. I do believe that not all good friendly wines have to hold a 200 dollar price tag. This is good wine that people will compliment and won't break the bank. Definantly let it sit for a while uncorked before drinking

(over 2 years ago)Very nice. Spicy with a full red taste. Full body, good nose, and a little lighter for the rare occasion when we cab lovers need to lighten up. Nice spice.

(over 2 years ago)Like a treat to drink! This ZIN absolutely overdelivers. Mild tannins with an insane french vanilla and chocalate-like finish.
7 Deadly Zins 2004 Old Vine Zinfandel
(about 1 year ago)This was a very disappointing wine. As Zins go, I found this one uninteresting and light bodied - not what I would expect from a good Zin. It doesn't pair well with beef at all. I agree with a previous reviewer that suggests that this wine needs to be decanted - it does need to breath a lot to open up, but even still, this wine disappoints. I would not buy or serve again.

(about 1 year ago)In comparison with another Michael~David zin, Windmill Estates, 7 Deadly Zins is bigger and more fruit forward. This is not subtle or especially complex but it's easy to drink.

(about 1 year ago)Drinkable and pleasant, but lackluster for the price with a weak finish.

(about 1 year ago)This is an intense, flavorful zin, and good value. Aromas of blackberry and pepper on the nose. On the palate - I have to say, I took one sip and said, "This wine tastes like pizza." It has a certain doughiness, and flavors of garlic, pepper, green peppers, and blackberry, and a hint of fennel. If you like bold wines, this one is a winner.

(about 1 year ago)It's okay, a good blend of fruit & spice
