Inheritance Petit Sirah 2004
(about 1 year ago)This bottle was given to me, I think it's from Trader Joe's, so under 10$ maybe? What an over-ripe, sour, overly acidic piece of junk. Some kind of bathroom cleaner comes to mind. Sorry Lone Dove, sorry Lodi, don't do this again. I'm hoping I just got a bad bottle.

(about 1 year ago)This is one of the best ones for the price you can ever get. The guy who rated this a 74 and said it was bad must have a terrible palate and drinks bud light. This is powerful, rich, and has that sweet fruit you would expect from lodi. They sell this at trader joes, and is one of, if not THE only truly great wine available at Trader Joes

(about 1 year ago)I must preface this review informing you of my personal taste in wine. I am a huge fan of big, bold, full bodied and rich wines. Petite Syrahs can rarely go wrong for me (but on occasion they can overdo the fruits or even blend too much syrah). I agree 100% with wineguy on this one. This is definitely is one of the best for the price. Maybe geespot did get a bad bottle, because this wine has a lot of complexities. It is full bodied and bold. It left a great impression with me. Great alone, or with a nice piece of red meat (but to be honest, I'd take it with a piece of red meat any day). It's definitely not a special occasion wine, more a day to day wine. But it does tastes like you've spent more on it than you have. Non-wine connoisseur friends may be impressed. You can get it at Trader Joe's for about $11, can't beat that. If you've found something better for that price, please let me know :-)
