part of blind vertical tasting (2000, 2001, 2002) - I tasted this first. On the nose I found orange peel, dirt, raspberry (general red berries), and rosemary-like notes. On the palate, great acidity, long finish, very tannic, red berries. Spectacular quality, will go a long way, but not completely smooth. + or - evals... Very pretty purple red, very dense and deep burgundy color. Very funky nose, with scents of darks fruits, cassis, and a little bit of heat. This wine draws amazingly long and persisting legs in glass. Very nice and dry entrance, filled with lots of dark cherries. Not much evolution in mouth, however this wine has a very, very silky and velvety mouth feel, and that is very neat. Neat tannins too. Fruity yet very dry finish. Long finish. Heat again.
