Crios de Susana Balbo 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)This Argentine beauty has a complex aroma of tobacco-leaf, black currant, and gunmetal. It tastes of ripe cherries and chocolate pie eaten in the smoking section of some downtown pub. Muy bueno! Socks knocked off.

(about 1 year ago)A great wine to sip alone, but also a fine pairing with food...an excellent value @ only $13! Quite fruity with nice chocolate undertones and firm tannins...like a chocolate covered strawberry.
Crios de Susana Balbo 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Sweet red fruit on the nose, as well as the palate. A definite F-Bomb. GV nailed it when he said it's almost as though it has lost all of its cabernet characteristics (tastes more like an Aussie Shriaz). Not bad, but I feel like I just drank a pixie stick. Decant as long as possible.

(about 1 year ago)The wine has dark color. The nose has some cherry and chocolate. The wine smells "young". The youth of the nose was a bit of a turn off for me. On the palette there is more chocolate and blueberry. This reminds me a bit more of Aussie Shiraz than Cabernet. In addition to being a poor representation of Cabernet there is too much heat. This wine just does not come together for me.

(about 1 year ago)Very dark red. Not usually a fan of Cabs, but loved it so much I bought a second bottle to hold onto.
