A red dessert wine made from the aromatic Brachetto grape. Sparkling and sweet but full of fresh raspberries and red cherries. Give it a chill and drink it alone as a liquid dessert, with red berries, or with dark semi-sweet chocolate.

(about 1 year ago)Very sweet, and can drink alone or with a dessert. Preferebly dark chocolate, rasberries or strawberries.

(about 1 year ago)Very good. Just different enough to set it apart from others in this caregory. A little sweet, and maybe not great for more than a glass, but still worth the time.

(about 1 year ago)A friend once said to me after sipping a glass of Rosa Regale, "This is what they serve when you get to Heaven." We found this on sale for $16.99 from it's regular $24.99, so my boyfriend and I took it over to his family's house for Thanksgiving. Declicious for dessert or for pre-Turkey time.

(11 months ago)This is a really delightful dessert wine. The taste is different than what one typically finds in a sparkling wine, but isn't cloying like the sparkling white zins. On the nose, there's an overwhelming impression of rose petals. Under the flowers, though, there's berries, particularly strawberries and bright cherries. The taste is true to the smell: very strong rose (my brother proclaims that it tastes like liquid roses) with underlying berries and hints of honey. I serve this alone or with homemade truffles, and it pairs beautifully dark or semi-sweet chocolate. The chocolate doesn't overwhelm the wine (as one can sometimes find with champagnes), nor is the wine too sweet for the chocolate (as is sometimes the problem with icewines and dessert rieslings). A lovely balance, a pretty color, and an attractive price for a dessert wine.

(10 months ago)I always serve this with my chocolate cake. It's a recipe that is not as sweet or dense as most. It's a light, moist, airy cake which makes it a perfect match for this fizzy, lightly sweet, rose and berry brachetto d'acqui.
