Yaegaki is a definite different taste than you'd expect from a sake. The aroma is sweet, but it smells somewhat... plastic? I suppose. Sweet at first, it has a lot of heat on the finish. Actually, it's VERY sweet, almost dessert wine sweet, which again, I'd not expect of a sake, and certainly is something to be aware of if you're going to pair it with a traditional Japanese dish. All right, but not something I'd buy again.
