2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)WOW! <$10 OTD. This is another Chris Ringland juice. Dark, rich, powerful, dense over-the-top flavor. It's got all kinds of fruit (all dark stuff; plums, cherries, blackberries, currant). Delicious cedar and oak (maybe tobacco too). Damn. This was good. There were however, too many people in my face in my home when I popped this open (screwed off the cap actually), to get the best impression. I'll get some more of this for tomorrow's BEARS game. I didn't decant this, though I will tomorrow. Monster QPR. Very tasty juice.

(about 1 year ago)Again, Chris Ringland is a genius. It was everything I expected it to be...Oh how I love the Aussies!! Big, fruity, well balanced tannins. Awesome.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)A delicious value from one of the best "flying winemakers" (Chris Ringland) currently in the business. This has a very California style to it and competes with wines twice the price. It has delicious dark fruit, with hints of dark cocoa and cedar in the toasty finish. A very robust wine that will accompany any beef that has been grilled. Buy it by the case.

(about 1 year ago)The first thought that popped into my head when drinking this was, "Glorious!". I bought this wine on a whim and was blown away. The dark fruits and robust flavor was amazing. Much more than I ever expected from picking up this wine. And now I'm glad I did as I now know the name of Chris Ringland.

(about 1 year ago)Chris Ringland does it again! Fantastic Aussie Cab! Big, bold dark cherries, full-bodied, great tannins with a huge finish. A better bargain you will not find.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Dark deep red with purple hues are noticeable. The aroma of blackberry and vanilla a present. Flavors of currant and blackberry coat the palate. This is a big wine. Great integration of oak, is this really $10? Great balance, excellent value.

(about 1 year ago)Not bad for this price point, but it's a VERY young wine with tons of overwhelming tannis.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(12 months ago)Nice nose with plumbs and berries; An overall well-balanced, medium-bodied wine.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(11 months ago)Excellent cab. It is Complex, aromatic and smooth. It's how a cab should taste. My only complaint is the screw cap. I find it so irritating that I rated the wine a point lower than if it had a cork. But other than that, a great wine.

(9 months ago)Very good overall, lots of fruity notes, not too much oak or tannins. I'll be drinking this one again.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(8 months ago)A devious, wackbords stab at grape-murder perfection. Its mysterious, villainous intentions could cause alarm, but why feel threatened? Sit back in your spiked velvet throne and suck away at the throat of this bloody delight. Drink deep, the night is young but short-lived.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(6 months ago)Un-Screwing the bottle... missing what could have been a wonderful uncorking, the berries and smoke rushed to the nose. Evil has teeth! With nearly 15% alcohol volume, this cab flexed it's tannins with a grin. Swirling the blood-red divine had me raising an eyebrow as an almost syrup-like thickness showed when the tears bulbed at the ends. Great price, but a little too hearty.
2005 EVIL Cabernet Sauvignon
(5 months ago)Tasted thin, fruity, and sour. Not as bad for a cab sav as the Pure Evil was for a chardonay though.
