Strong apple and pear tones with a buttery taste in the mid palate, and finishes with a slight tobacco flavor. After 5 years, this chardonnay has mellowed to a good level of oakiness. This will probably be the last drinkable year for this wine. Overall, it is a very decent wine but lacks the desired complexity after aging.
