(over 2 years ago)This is a good cheap wine that I pick up every now and then at the local Publix.

(over 2 years ago)uhm, great stuff, right after the yTail 2004 Chardonnay
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Hard to beat this full-bodied Shiraz for the price point.

(over 2 years ago)Great taste! Especially for being so inexpensive.

(over 2 years ago)A good dinner wine if you're looking for a shiraz. It's probably not going to blow anyone away but worth picking up for the price.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)This is a very tastey wine. It is great for someone who is not a big red wine drinker because it doesn't have a lot of tannin but still has those good berry flavors. Plus you really can't beat the price. If I am just having a bunch friends over to watch tv or a movie, this wine is near the top of my list.

(over 2 years ago)Without knowing anything about wine termonology I get this when I'm in the mood for something "dark" and "full."
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Like others have said, you can't beat the price.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Light oaky taste with a bit of sweetness
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)One thing I like about Yellowtail...is that they never put out a bad bottle...at least not the many that I have purchased. Shiraz will always be my favorite from them.

(over 2 years ago)One of my favorite wines. Pretty intense, because there's a lot going on. Fruit, tannins, spice, vanilla, etc. A very good, inexpensive wine.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Smooth, soft red with hints of berry and vanilla. Easy to drink, dependable and cheap! One of my favorites for drinking on its own or with a small snack, a little too rich for pairing with full meals (in my opinion).
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)Dang fine every-few-days wine — more so considering the price. If you're feeling street, no need to bother with the glasses.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(over 2 years ago)One of the yummiest cheap wines I've found.

(over 2 years ago)This, to me, is one of those standby wines. Don't feel like opening that 94 bottle of Chalk Hill but still want a glass of wine? Open Yellow Tail. You won't be disappointed.

(over 2 years ago)I'm a wine novice but I love this shiraz. I couldn't place the flavor and I noticed a few people wrote vanilla, and that is it! I would also say buttery. Can't beat the price. My friend's father who is a wine snob had a case and gave me my first bottle a few years ago. Been hooked since.

(about 1 year ago)The more I drink this one, the more I like it. It's a tasty red that's not very dry. I have a note from the first time I had it saying "not like barbeque sauce." I have no idea what that means. It's good.

(about 1 year ago)Not my cup of tea - or wine for that matter. In our blind tasting of various shiraz/syrah it came in last. Even though it is cheap I have managed to find a number of bottles that I much prefer for only a few dollars more.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)A nice blend of pepper and sweet. Possibly better the second day after opening.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)A good staple in the collection for house parties but also pairs well with curries or lamb. Not a bad pick up when you don't want to think about what you're getting.

(about 1 year ago)excellent taste for the price... i get powdered cocoa tastes with a hint of vanilla too.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)The berry flavors hit your taste buds right away. I could smell the vanilla more than taste it. Overall, a very pleasant red. Although not particularly remarkable I do have to agree with the other reviewers: a very dependable wine.
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)Fruity with clove and vanilla undertones.

(11 months ago)This wine is a testament to the miracle that is Australian winemaking: the climate is so perfect for grapes like shiraz that you can make a darn good one for next to nothing. While not very complex, the YT shiraz has enough bold fruit and spicy character to register as a solidly "not bad" shiraz. Considering the price, this is a rave review. This wine is a steal (whereas most other "supermarket" brands of shiraz, in spite of Australia's great climate and land, still manage to suck.)

(11 months ago)I love this selection for its old flavors, vanilla is my favorite when it comes to flavors and this Yellow Tail delivers!
2004 Yellow Tail Shiraz
(9 months ago)A plush ripey! I had this with strawberries and a hunk of dark chocolate, and it was perfection. It has a soft texture, and smells of berries and vanilla. This Shiraz is great on its own or with rich, distinctive food--otherwise, the tannins will overwhelm whatever else you're eating.

(7 months ago)Never have understood the allure of Yellowtail and the fact that many people actually like this wine when there are so very many superior wines out there for the same price. I bought a couple of bottles and had such a bad experience with the first that I swore I would not use the 2nd which I didn't until my daughter opened it a couple of years later. Just as bad the second time around. Band, insipid, like Kool aid.
