2005 Thorn-Clarke Terra Barossa Shiraz
(about 1 year ago)When first opened, lots of plum and black fruit, then tannins and some spice. Good flavor, but no real depth or length on the palate. Nice, everyday basic wine.

(about 1 year ago)My first impression of the Terra Barossa was that it was closer to the Shotfire Ridge in terms of taste, but without the WOW factor. Maybe a little thin, like you said. The bottle/packaging is identical to the Milton Park (except for the label).

(about 1 year ago)Moderate nose of vanilla, black cherry, nothing overpowering or exciting there. Moderate body, taste of black cherry, light pepper. Moderate to low tannins, light finish. This is a decent wine for the price, pleasant but nothing exciting or standing out.

(9 months ago)Of course pitch black color. The nose is filled with candies and cherries. The taste is completely disjointed: the acidity and the fruit are not integrated at all. Weird wine. If you get it, remember to decant it for a while, at least you won't feel the heat.

(9 months ago)Fruity and peppery with a dry, sharp finish. Overall kind of thin, lacking body or anything that hits the back of the throat. A good wine for the price, but the screw cap disappointed the wife.
