Rioja is my favourite variety - not sure if it is a region or grape type - but I always fall back on Campo Viejo as my old favourite. My taste buds were removed as part of a government experiment in my early 20s, so I cannot tell you what it really tastes like.

If you are visiting Spain this is a safe bet - it can be purchased in most supermarkets. It is around the 5/6 euro mark and has a smooth texture.

Very good wine. Had it in January 2007. Tempranillo Rioja wines so far are my favorite. They have full flavored taste.

Love the aroma on this one; and the taste certainly lived up to the smell. Light body and a delicious fruity flavor make this one easy to drink and leave me craving some pasta. A nice crispness that doesn't overwhelm the flavors. There is another taste in there that I can't quite place, but I'm enjoying it.

Earthy rustic spice. Has some gripping acid, but is good, traditional. Smooth on finish, gives a mouthful sensation.
