Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(about 1 year ago)This is an excellent wine from one of the finest sauv blanc regions. It has a wonderful fruity aroma and the taste is so crisp and refreshing you'll find one bottle isn't enough! If you're a sauv blanc fan, this wine will not disappoint.

(about 1 year ago)I picked this up on sale for $6.99. For that price, it would be hard to say anything bad, but it's a great wine. Very drinkable. With a hint of grapefruit.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(about 1 year ago)I really liked it, nice citrus touches, very pleasant wine of that type. Refreshing and distinct from the Oyster Bay, a real pleasure.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(about 1 year ago)Fresh and lively. One of my favorite quaffers. I prefer the 2006 to the 2005 . . . it's cleaner and crisper.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(about 1 year ago)Pleasant grapefruit, and a steely flavor, a nice SB.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(about 1 year ago)Powerful notes of citrus and lemon grass in the nose. On first sip this wine stays with the citrus and lemon grass theme, After the second sip I started to notice hits of star fruit and pineapple. Over all this is a great wine, I would have liked more flavors then what it has. As far as all Sauvignon Blanc's go, I have found New Zealand to be the best.

(about 1 year ago)Brisk acidity and lively lime zest.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(11 months ago)Nothing profound about it, but who cares! Super tasty and easy to drink, a fruit bomb of pineapple, pear, kiwi and a squeeze of grapefruit. Juicy and sweet without going overboard, with a crisp and yummy finish with not a hint of the typical cheap wine aftertaste. The perfect summer party wine, it's about as drinkable as you can get... have taken it to numerous parties and it's always a hit. Easy to find, usually for under 10 bucks. Don't think too hard, just drink and enjoy!

(10 months ago)Nice tropical sweetness that manages to stay grounded and not too cloying. Good for parties and picnics. A happy find.

(10 months ago)This is a really great example of a sauv blanc. Golden in color, this wine is overflowing with bright fruit flavors, especially sweet pear and peach, and crisp grapefruit. Bright acidity makes for a crisp, clean finish, which is very refreshing. Light and lively on the tongue. The wine was slightly green, but went very nicely with a light pasta and veggie dinner. Would also stand well on its own.

(10 months ago)Loved the pineapple and crispness of this wine. Danced on my tongue.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(9 months ago)I was a bit disappointed in this wine. It seemed to get better as it warmed up a bit though. Smells of starfruit and peaches but the taste was a bit weak and alcoholy for me. Would not buy again, but I could drink it. Neither added to nor detracted from salmon w/ dill sauce.

Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(4 months ago)I'm against the crowd with this one, I found the fruit flavor and grass clippings to be way to strong for my tastes, I like a more subtle SB than this type. I think its a very average bottle of wine, but my wife and other guests seemed to like it.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(4 months ago)great golden color. lots of citrus, honey and musk melon on the nose. lemon, pineapple and honey on the pallet. very nice especially for the price.
Monkey Bay 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
(4 months ago)Citrus and tropical fruits, with subtle cut grass aromas. Flavours of grapefruit, kiwi and pineapple are overlaid with fresh cut grass. Finishing crisp and refreshing, the palate balances intense fruit qualities with fresh acidity, fullness and length.

(2 months ago)The heady aroma of peach when I first opened the bottle made me think I was about to drink a fruit wine... Once I tasted it, however, my visions of a syrupy sweet wine were dispelled. It was pleasantly light and dry, with a hint of fruit and florals. Would definitely purchase again.
