(about 1 year ago)Another easy-to-drink Zin with forward berry flavours (cherry and blackberry), notes of spice and vanilla. Pleasant and straightforward. Tried this again recently and really noticed the vanilla and oak throughout.

(about 1 year ago)Massive blackberries, and black fruits. Heavy peppery spice and black licorice. Great value for $10. New world Zin with lots of body. The petite sirah adds to the full mouth feel of the wine. This is a big wine. Although sweet it displays a heavy peppery mid-palette through finish. Blending in licorice and a smoothness and subtle taste of carmel. A tad hot feel at the end from the alcohol, but in fairness this wine (like any big grape) needed a little more time to decante. Tasted after 30 mins. and this wine with it's massive tannins needs to be open for at least 1 to 2 hours.

(about 1 year ago)Pipe tabacco and wild berry nose. Raisin like with a secondary vegtable flavor. A slight bitter kick on the back of the tongue and a mildly pepperish finish. Better with food than by itself.

(about 1 year ago)Flabby fruit bomb, but delicious! Tons of berry on the nose, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, smells like it's sweet. Nice jammy berries on the attack, same as the nose. Substantial sugar is noticed right away. Mid-palate is lacking, but some nice peppery spice lights up the short finish. Good tannin grip, not overly drying, the alcohol is noticeable with a twinge of heat. The finish does disappear a bit quick. It's a sugarfied skittles bomb, but it's entirely drinkable and actually really tasty with a variety of foods. For 8.99 it's a bargain for sure, I know a lot of people like this wine and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

(about 1 year ago)Dense, with brambly zin flavor, lots of peppery spice. There was some heat but it came across more as a spicy heat than out-of-balance alcohol heat. Great w/ BBQ!

(11 months ago)A lightly wooded blast of dark fruit with a dash of sugar. Yeah. Nice build to the mid palate with a tingling spicy kick to the finish. Overall, not bad although not amazing. A decent table wine for the price.
