fresh aroma, bouquet of preserves and cherry. light garnet in color. good balance on the palate with just enough fruit and acidity. nice bit of earthiness

I must have changed my mouth. When I was in Italy, wines from Puglia and Sicily were juicy and strong, but now, after two years in California and having removed a lot of biases from my mind I can see their character much better. This negroamaro is well built but unpretentious, notes of dried leaves and candied fruits are prevalent, quick finish and slight tannins reveal the roughness of the land were they come from, hit by the sea and dry at the same time, but not that much. A nice example from Salento but not a gem.

Nice spice, good "drinking" wine. Does not require food to pair to enjoy. Some dark cherry flavor to round out the spice.

Inky, garnet color. Jammy red berries on the nose, with a funky cooked component. Tasty red cherry and berry flavor, but finishes a bit short.
