(over 2 years ago)All that I can say is that you get what you pay for. This wine is cheap, and it comes out in the taste. Though for under $10, it truely isn't such a bad buy.

(over 2 years ago)Not the best Pinot Noir I have tasted, but tasty none the less. Not as buttery as I prefer, but not too dry, and with nice subtle fruity hints.

(about 1 year ago)Could be worse! And only $7-$8. Not bad with cheese and crackers.

(about 1 year ago)Dunno about this - Pinots are a wine that requires a certain amount of...care? Mirassou is not the best of the lot and not a good representation of why Pinot Noir is such a popular grape - kind of like why Wal-Mart cola isn't as good as Coke. It's not bad wine - no one will be spitting it out. It's actually tasty - mild, a little alcohol in the bouquet and no lingering bite like a Cabernet or Burgundy. Pair this wine with a party on the deck, Colby, mild Cheddar, Swiss - turkey, ham and Club Crackers. But it's not a great Pinot.

(about 1 year ago)A low cost pinot bought to satisfy the girlfriend's love of light bodied wines. Drank with sharp cheddar and triscuits, not a perfect match, but it helped to bring out some of the body.
