(over 2 years ago)Wonderful banana aroma with a strawberry/cherry bubblegum flavor. Nice and light, good for sipping or with cheese.

(over 2 years ago)I love beaujolais nouveau. Not because it can hold court with a mind-blowing Cab or a so chewy it could be a meal Zin, but because it's always exactly what it's supposed to be -- easy and fresh. The attraction for me is half tradition and half the simplicity of the wine. The other reviewers are so right on the banana nose -- it's really something. And the taste is just perfect -- fruit forward and light and simply delicious! Salud!!

(about 1 year ago)The other reviewers who pointed out the bannana are right ... odd but true. Wine has good fruit aromas and flavor. Not all that sophisticated (what do you want for a wine that was still grapes two months ago), but worth the buy.

(about 1 year ago)Easy drinking crowd pleaser. Very light and not overly fruity. I need to buy more!

(about 1 year ago)Very good this year, better than last - light and the banana aroma is true!

(about 1 year ago)Nice, light red. Fruity, but not overwhelmingly so, and has a gentle acidity. Very easy to drink. And yes, it does have a strange banana candy note in its bouquest which startled me a bit when I first tried it. Very unusual. Thankfully, I could only smell it and not taste it, as banana candy isn't a flavor I care for much! Overall it was a decent wine, though not something I'd buy multiple bottles of.

(about 1 year ago)Not bad for a primeur wine. Easy drinking, not as much acid as previous BP's I drank. Considering I paid 3 euro's a bottle, not a bad deal at all!

(about 1 year ago)Nice banana flavor, quite fruity. A nice light wine to share with friends. "Tingly :: Not Funnly" as someone has once described.

(about 1 year ago)Fabulous light red that is one of the "must stock" wines of the year...

(about 1 year ago)Much better than I expected, after having a Duboeuf Beaujolais Villages which really didn't impress me. Rich, ripe, playful, almost smoky and somewhat earthy. Deep rich purplish red color. Good balance, dry but not tannic, good acidity. Very good wine overall. Richer and "meatier" than I was expecting from a Nouveau. Enjoyed it and would buy it again.

(10 months ago)a bit blah, but drinkable with or without a meal - not tannic at all; red fruit palate; not getting the banana nose, maybe it lessens with age? excellent in baked red wine biscuits!
