Deep red color. Somewhat tannic. Currants, blackberry jam, with a hint of anise. Full bodied but drinkable with or without food. Would pair well with a spicy beef dish; creamy, full-flavored pasta; pizza (maybe with spicy italian sausage); richly seasoned Greek food; or anything flavorful enough to stand up to a dark red wine.
