The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(over 2 years ago)Full flavor with a smooth aftertaste, this budget Cabernet Sauvignon shouldn't be scoffed at - or at least not by new wine drinkers like myself.
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(over 2 years ago)A good basic cabernet.
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(over 2 years ago)I thought this wine was absolutely amazing. Its dry and sweet at the same time, perfectly balanced with a nice fruity finish. Earthy undertones go well with the finish and leave you satisfied drink after drink. This is now my favorite Cabernet Sauvignon and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good Cabernet.

(about 1 year ago)My wife and I really enjoy this wine, as it has a nice round flavor and is easy on the wallet. For an every-day red table wine, you can't beat it.
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)I drank this awhile ago. I think it was okay, but that the main bonus is the label.
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Personally, not my favorite due to the sweetness factor. However, if you like a fruit forward, new world style Cab then this is a bargain (hell that's a steal) at $8
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)My fiance and I have had some less-than-pleasant experiences with Australian red wines, so we tend to avoid them. However, we saw this one had been rated 88 points or so by Wine Spectator, and one of our local wine shops had 1.5L bottles for $11.99, so we figured we'd give it a try. Not bad. Fruity, with flavors of blackberry and little smoke. Certainly a perfectly drinkable young red.

(about 1 year ago)Tons of blue berries and chocolate on the nose with a little green veggie. This wine IS fruit forward and good. Lots of black and blue berry up front and a little earthy and maybe a wee bit hot on the finish. There is not a harsh tannin in this wine. Good balance and intergration! I was surprised by this wine. This is VERY good if you are a new world fan. VERY GOOD.

(about 1 year ago)For the price, this wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special.
The Little Penguin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
(about 1 year ago)Dark purple with some pinky foam around the collar. Black cherries, olive, mushroom, vanilla, cinnamon, and leather in the nose. There is an almost port-like nose associated with this wine. Black cherries, black olives? dark chocolate, mushrooms, and caramel on the palate. Full bodied and rich with sweet toffee and caramel goodness. Complex, rich, somewhat sweet balanced with nice tannins. This is a friggin' bargain!

(11 months ago)Great Cabernet, my personal go-to red for casual events. Quite sweet, but not overpowering.
