Parker Station 2005 Pinot Noir
(over 2 years ago)Can definitely taste the cherry, but the label also claims plum and strawberry, which I can't really make out. Perhaps the plum comes through a bit in the finish. On that note, the nose and finish are both a bit weak. There's a healthy bit of spice, especially on the back of the tounge. Ever so slightly sour as well. Like it's advertised though: A good "everyday" wine. Good bang for the buck (though I did get mine through a packaged deal on woot.com).

(over 2 years ago)Nice and easy to drink. Very flavorful and enjoyable at a nice low price. 4th star is for the value.

(over 2 years ago)Fruity, acidic and spicy. Feels very bright and sunny.

(about 1 year ago)Bright cherry and...strawberry, I think. I'm not getting plum, as the label suggests, but I could swear there is a scent of violets hovering above the glass. This has a clean, delicious taste, and it's well balanced. Light-bodied, arousing, not dark or expressing much character, but drinkable and fun. Good for the price in the sub-$20 stratum. It's difficult to think of a better pinot for the same price. (Austin TX, 2007, $12)

(about 1 year ago)A nice, fruity pinot with aromas of cherry and lilacs on the nose. Cherry and plum flavors, and a subtle meatiness. A nice everyday pinot.
Parker Station 2005 Pinot Noir
(about 1 year ago)Lots of strawberry, but a nice full mouth for a pinot. Not really sure why this is getting such low ratings. I could detect the plum straight away. Not the most complex pinot noir I've had but I thought it was excellent.

(about 1 year ago)I'd like to love this Pinot, unfortunately it came out of the bottle with an overripe and slightly sour aroma. The palate mirrored the aroma with a hint of cherry. I was not impressed, maybe I received the bad run.
