Condesa de Leganza comes from the 1,477-acre Finca los Trenzones estate in the tempranillo wine grapes Tempranillo grapes Quintanar de la Orden district of southeast La Mancha. It becomes the first wine released by the newly revitalized property, which was acquired in 1994 by the Martinez family, owners of Bodegas Faustino, the single largest producer of Reserva and Gran Reserva wines in Spain's Rioja region. Owner Julio Martinez has made it his personal quest to bring to light the untapped potential of La Mancha wines, with the goal of establishing the wines of La Mancha on the same level as other top quality wine regions of Spain. To bring that vision to fruition, Martinez set his sights on the Finca Los Trenzones property on account of its prime vineyard location. · 2,500 feet above sea level -- highest land in the area · Ideal microclimate: hot summer days; cool nights · Underground water sources, supplying ideal conditions for irrigation

(over 2 years ago)Did not wow, but did not disappoint. We were pleased with this wine --- no sharp bite; best described as "blurred" taste.
