Rich flavors of cherry, cassis. A little bit of oak flavor. A slight hint of herbs or pepper. Has a smooth finish, which almost has a taste of vanilla in, like a Shiraz.

I am noob to wine, and I haven't yet acquired a taste for dryer wines. So I tend to move towards smoother, fruitier wines. This wine is my favorite so far. Very smooth.

Not a terrible wine, however I find it wanting for some tannin structure. Its mostly a fruit forward simple cab with not much else going on. For The price I'd rather go with an Italian montepulciano, the fruits a bit lighter but the higher acid gives it better structure.
