Lots of Rhone charecter in this wine - cherries, strawberries, licorice, pepper, that watery thing the grenache does. One of those layered wines that does the above immediately but underneath there's a lot more, stuff that I'm not savvy enough to finger specifically but I've had enough of these nice Rhone reds to know and appreciate when it's there. The cherry / strawberry aspect lingers in the aftertaste. Really a beautiful Sunday afternoon wine.
