Warwick Valley Black Dirt Red
(over 2 years ago)I have a strong partiality to this wine, enjoying it immensely on my trip up to Niagara. Baco Noir, as a hybrid grape that can withstand New York's intense seasonal climate change. It's the color that draws you in first: an unbelievably powerful ruby red, as if was hit with sunlight. Bone dry, with enough lightness and acidity to keep it distinct away from the vinifera grapes. But the fruit-forwardness is there, as well as hints of vanilla and earth. A grape varietal that is worth it's weight in variety. Go get some.
