Fairly acidic, not much fruit. Went well with T-Bone steaks with a gorganzola cream sauce.

(about 1 year ago)Curious experience. Purchased as futures and untried in some years. At my next try (10/06), it had become a very lovely, classic Pauillac- give it a 92. Recently a re-release showed up in stores, and I got another 6 (@ $50- about 2X the futures price). But- while the new release was still v. good (give it about 87-89), it was decidedly not as fine as those I'd cellared. Hmmm. Am curious to see if the newly released bottles will settle down after while & be as fine as the ones I've tended myself- which I'll drink last!
