I'm new to wine collecting, and over the last couple of weeks Ive been storing my wine on a wine rack on my kitchen counter. My apartment can get up to 80 degrees sometimes. Is my wine in trouble?

You need to work on getting the photo-sharing section done. I can't wait to use it.

I agree in that this site is brilliant, but very much in it's infancy. Bring in control of a social network like this is a very powerful weapon. Why would it be left to fall to the wayside? Though you're a new father, so I guess we'll wait ;)

Gary - this site is falling apart. Can't contact old "buddies", reviews are missing. Anything you can do to get a little maint. on this stuff? I mean your name is on the label.

Hey Gary. Just wanted to say thanks for all the time and enthusiasm you put into things. Hope you never change the way you do this, never get too caught up with what else is going on, and never lose your passion. You help people like me get excited about wine. I'm a 23 year old kid from Cape Cod. So yeah, thanks. Chris p.s. also, i'm sure you get too many requests as it is, but the one wine that got me into wine was the 2006 Legado Del Conde Albarino. If you get a chance to review it, i'd love to know what you think.

Gary please help me. I´m gonna have my very first french wine and in the store there´s Paulliac, Medoc, Beaujelois, Margaux and a lot of chateaux I don´t know, and I´ve tried to see your shows but now I need YOUR decision: For you……what is the first french wine a person would have(must) to have????????? I leave you the web of the store. I´m Eduardo from Argentina and this is for my B-Day on feb 6. I´m going to spend like 150 u$s on one bottle and another 100 u$s on 2 extra minor bottles so is big to me…. Thanx, I know you´re going to do the best for a fan like me. http://www.grandcru.com.ar/index.php?sec=12

Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is the most Perfect Wine for nearly Everything. Unfortunally is is priced at a special Ocassion wine. (approx $100) It is perfection, would love to find a similar taste at 1/3rd price for anyday wine enjoyment.

Salex and Harmony 1 - several come to mind. If you are talking about recent vintage red wines try the 2005 Mondavi Cabernt Sauvignon Oakville Ranch ($35.00), the 2005 Buhler Napa Valley Cabby ($21.00) and either of the 2007 Seghesio Sonoma County Zin ($25.00) or the 2006/2007 "The Prisoner" Zin Blend by Orwin Swift ($33.00) Haromony - In addition to those reds I am assuming that you are also drinking several of the whites that come from those areas. Check out the Frog's Leap 2007 Chardonnay ($27.00), The Sineann Unoaked Chardonnay 2006/07 ($26.00), The Fess Parker 2006 Viogner ($22.00).

I have been drinking some wonderful British Columbia Wines and Washington Wines. I really appreciate mouthfeel and length in a wine. Soon to tour Napa and Sonoma.. any wines worthy under 40$?

Looking for a good, full-bodied, dry red. I don't really know a lot about wine, I just know I like one that completely fills my mouth and lingers on. If I don't feel it hit the back of my mouth, I typically don't care for the wine. Any suggestions?

Hey Gary, Just found your WLTV show a couple of days ago. Your enthusiasm compelled me to watch 10 to 12 episodes over the past couple of days. You've piqued my interest and inspired me to learn more about wines and wine tasting. In particular, I wholeheartedly agree with your advice that each taster should try many different wines, find those that you enjoy the most and develop your own palate. Wine appreciation is like art appreciation ... "Beauty is in the eye (or palate) of the beholder." Thanks for sharing and opening my eyes to the world of wines... Best Regards, flyfisher

Had two great Zins this weekend--7 deadly Zins andTwisted Zin from Lodi. Great area for Zins. Although the Twisted Zin is a value wine the taste is enjoyable.

A couple of years ago, we were served a Prosecco with dinner at the CIA in Hyde Park, NY, and it was delicious. The label read, "Marco D'Oro." I cannot seem to find it anymore. I've tried a few other Prosecco's, but none are as good as the Marco D'Oro. Has anyone heard of it? If it is no longer produced, does anyone know of a comparable one?

Our open minded new taster who not had his opinions bastardized by public suggestion, used the "blueberry stems" as a definition. He said not quite like immature blueberries but more like the stems....Thought that was pretty "fresh". I guess we are gonna have to graze on stems now. Its fun to get the opinions of open minded, un-askewed taste buds.

I'm new to Cork'd so not entirely sure how this all works. Question: Any taste notes on Catena Alta 2005 Cab Mendoza. I've just opened & would like to know what others thought.

Gary, New follower this past year. Great show. Sending link to all my wino buddies. Have been enjoying the Gruner Veltliners and Zweigelts lately. Swiss wife who turned me on to these Austrian wines. Keep up the good work.
