I make websites. There was a time when that was not the way I'd start a self-summary, but at some point during the last ten years of making websites, I realized that making websites is an integral part of my life. It's not the *only* part of my life, thankfully. I have a lovely girlfriend who likes to taste new wine with me, and we have a variety of non-website hobbies, but when people ask me what I do, I tell them "I make websites." You can visit my websites: cerebraldebris.com for example, which features my writing, photography, and other things. Or dartpublishing.com, which features some of my latest entrepreneurial endeavors. Or okcupid.com, which is where I work during the days as a -- you guessed it -- web designer. I like wine a lot. I order it in restaurants and bars, and try to keep my home "cellar" (bottom shelf of a cabinet in my tiny, tiny kitchen) well-stocked with inexpensive but enjoyable bottles. I like reds first and foremost, but have begun inviting white, rose, and sparkling varieties into my life of late. Every bottle I buy, I enter and review on Cork'd, and every glass I drink, I try to note for later bottle-purchasing. I hope you find my reviews enjoyable and helpful. If you want to share suggestions, feel free to add me as a buddy!

My favorite wine of the spree was definitely, definitely the Cotes du Rhone. Just a delicious wine from top to bottom at a ridiculously low price. I highly recommend it! Here's the link: http://corkd.com/wine/view/24557-2005_Domaine__La_Garrigue__Cuvee_Romaine_Cotes_du_Rhone

Christopher, I went on a similar spree two weeks ago. I came back with some interesting bottles. I'm drinking a Negroamaro Rose now from Italy. What was your favorite bottle from your spree? Kathleen Albany, NY

My girlfriend and I have gone on a massive cheap-wine splurge recently (with the exception of one $40 bottle of champagne for my birthday). I've bought five reds and a rose' and she's bought three "very different" french whites to help expand my palette in that type of wine (I'm a red guy mostly). None of the bottles are more than $15 apiece and most are closer to $10. Lots of wine drinking and reviewing on the way!
